Thirty minutes away from Dartmoor

Discover the great wilderness of Dartmoor with heather clad moors and rugged tors.  From wild ponies, cycle paths and circular walks to canoeing, climbing and horse riding, this National Park has an abundance of choice.

Or jump aboard the Dartmoor Railway to explore the beautiful countryside of Mid-Devon and North Dartmoor.  Sit back and enjoy the ever changing landscape.

Fishing

Fishing in Devon has the best of both worlds; excellent sea fishing as well as fantastic coarse and fly fishing.

Upham Carp Ponds - Just 1 mile away from Crealy Meadows Caravan and Camp Site, the coarse fishery at Upham Farm enjoys an excellent national reputation.  Providing superb carp and tench fishing for beginners of all ages to seasoned professionals, they have six well stocked spring fed ponds and a seventh large specimen pond.  Surrounded by picturesque East Devon countryside, coarse fishing doesn’t get much better.

Beer - The coastal fishing town of Beer (steeped in fishing heritage) is just 23 miles away and a real treat for all young fishing fans.  Watch the fishing boats bring in their fresh catch of the day, sample the famous Beer crab or hop on your own mackerel fishing trips.

For horse lovers, discover a wide range of horse riding activities.  From full or half day treks to moor riding, beach riding, carriage riding and even western style horse riding!  So much choice.
